06. eSIM / eUICC / iOT management

The internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, buildings and other items—embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity that enables these objects to collect and exchange data.In 2013 the Global Standards Initiative on Internet of Things (IoT-GSI) defined the IoT as "the infrastructure of the information society." The IoT allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for more direct integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit when IoT is augmented with sensors and actuators, the technology becomes an instance of the more general class of cyber-physical systems, which also encompasses technologies such as smart grids, smart homes, intelligent transportation and smart cities. Each thing is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system but is able to interoperate within the existing Internet infrastructure.

IoT Concept Board

An Incubator for M2M and IOT Innovation.

MIM Product Range

M2M and IoT applications present new technology challenges, and in many cases, standard components designed for consumer devices are not ideally suited to the job. To meet the need for an M2M optimized SIM card that is ruggedized for long life in extreme conditions, R&D developed a specialized platform called the Machine Identification Module - MIM™ that has quickly become the preferred solution for enabling secure cellular connections.

Embedded Secure Element - eSE

A tamper-proof chip, embedded in any mobile device, ensures the data is stored in a safe place and information is given to only authorized applications and people.

IoT Monetization

This requires a monetization framework that allows all contributors to leverage from the new IoT business models, and have the agility to deploy new applications quickly to have a quicker ROI. An application enablement platform can bridge this requirement with quick device on-boarding and pre-built IoT services. Discover the many ways in which SMARTJAC can help you monetize your IoT assets.

Sentinel Fit

Sentinel Fit is the industry's smallest commercial licensing solution for Monetizing Software-Driven Hardware Solutions.

Successful embedded software monetization for control, packaging, management, and tracking.

ECoffer-Smart Socket Innovative Mobile Security Solutions

A tamper-resistant secure element to provide a secure environment for the storage and processing of sensitive data.

Smart Label Sensors

Cost-effective electronic monitors as thin as a chemistry-based label.

eSIM Platform As A Service

Accelerating the adoption of eSIM around the world.

In its most basic form, SMARTJAC eSIM Platform As A Service is just a digital replacement of what an operator does today when they hand out plastic SIM cards and assign them to subscriber profiles in their systems when they are activated.

Except now instead of plugging in the SIM card, the user downloads a digital SIM profile to the device after scanning a QR code provided by SMARTJAC managed platform.

eSIM Profiling

eSIM
SMARTJAC eSIM offers eSIM profiling for flexible and fully scalable subscription management for provisioning of eSIM on eUICC, with easy operation and eSIM activation on secure subscription management servers. With the subscription management system, you can control and account your eSIM profiles. The eSIM subscription management servers interact perfectly with the eUICC, including the crypto controller on the eUICC. The plattform is compliant with the GSM association and the SIMalliance standards.

Test SIM Simulator

The Test SIM Simulator is an integral part of the test setup offered by vendors of network test equipment. This new solution enables 100% test automation of network protocol conformance testing. Based on the IT³ Prove! terminal tester (hardware and software), it replaces the physical test SIM card through a simulation. Thus, different UICC profiles (CSIM, USIM, ISIM) needed for the different network access technologies (2G/GSM, UMTS/W-CDMA, CDMA2000, LTE) can be simulated.

Connectivity Test Center

Connectivity Test Center is COMPRION‘s test case management software for testing smart cards, secure elements (on chip), and all entities that are required for remote provisioning (RSP) of an embedded SIM.

Network Bridge

With the Network Bridge, remote SIM provisioning scenarios can be processed in a lab environment independent of a real network, network simulator, or device. It allows end-to-end testing with just the eUICC and the subscription manager by “bridging” the complete over-the-air communication (cellular network) and providing appropriate simulations.

eUICC Profile Manager

The modular tool for efficient eUICC life cycle management.

The eUICC Profile Manager enables users to manage embedded SIMs (eUICCs) throughout their entire life cycle.

With eUICC Profile Manager supporting M2M as well as consumer device eUICCs, you can load profiles to eUICCs, enable and disable profiles, and delete profiles. A easy user interface hides the complex RSP (remote SIM provisioning) architecture
that is required for execution of the corresponding procedures. In addition, eUICC Profile Manager scans the contents of an enabled profile, visualizes the file system, allows editing, and visualizes the sent and received commands in a sequence diagram or protocol view.
